Packing for a long weekend away in sun is never easy but packing with a teenage girl takes it to a whole new level. Seriously, every time I look in the two bags we’ve put to one side for our packing, there’s something else in there that I need to take out!
Here’s a few of the things we’ve argued about debated so far….
1. A pillow
Yes, an actual pillow has been taken out and put back in it’s rightful place on her bed.
2. A blanket
Taking up half the bag was a blanket which again, is now back on her bed!
3. Bath bombs
Even if they made the journey in one piece and didn’t crumble everywhere, we only have a shower in the hotel we’re staying at.
4. A packet of Oreos
I’m pretty sure they do biscuits where we’re going!
5. A (large) selection of hand sanitisers
As much as I support cleanliness at any time, I don’t think that there’s a need to take four bottles of hand sanitiser all in different flavours.
6. A selfie stick
This is not a holiday essential. Ever.
7. Three different phone case covers
We’re only going for four nights so I think one may well be enough.
8. Hair straighteners AND curling wand
Like she’s going to want to do anything to her hair other than just tie it up when it’s 25 c.
9.A makeup bag bigger than my hand luggage
I’ve told her what she can’t fit in my small makeup bag isn’t allowed to come. It’s currently full to the point where I don’t think the zip is going to hold out until we get there.
10. Two spare battery packs for her phone – all charged and ready to go.
I’m pretty sure that the hotel has electricity and that there’ll be plugs in the room where we can charge our phones.
