I thought I’d do a bit of a round-up of the best refer a friend schemes today so you can earn some extra money whilst helping your friends earn some too!
Word of mouth is probably the most powerful form of advertising right now! It’s a fact that people are much more likely to give their custom to a company if someone they know has already had a good experience with them and in the days of social media, it’s super easy to tell your friends and to share sign up links with them which is why so many companies have great refer a friend schemes.
They want to encourage you to tell all of your friends how fabulous they are and the best way to encourage that is to reward you for doing it.
Before I share what I think are the best refer a friend schemes though, I should say that I would advise you to only ever share companies that you really do have a good experience with and who you would genuinely recommend. You wouldn’t want someone to have a bad experience just so you can make a few pounds, would you?
Here’s a few of the best refer a friend schemes that I know about (with cheeky refer a friend links for my own referrals in there too)…
Oh My Dosh
(Here’s my refer a friend link)
I’ve written about Oh My Dosh a couple of times now (the first time was a collaboration but I continued to use it after that ;-)) and it’s a great way to earn a little bit of extra money when you refer your friends.
Basically, you can easily earn £50 in a month with Oh My Dosh (I broke it down here) so it’s a site that your friends are going to want to know about. Once they hit £10 then they get an extra pound by signing up through your refer a friend link and you get a cheeky fiver added to your account.
I could tell people about this all day because I know that they can earn money from it easily!
Bulb Energy
(Here’s my refer a friend link)
This is another no-brainer to me because not only do you get £50 if you someone signs up using your referral link, your friend also gets £50 too.
I moved over to Bulb last year as it was cheaper than the tariff I was on with British Gas and I’ve been super impressed so far. I’ve never had a problem and I’ve had at least two emails saying their prices are being reduced which definitely makes a change.
Swagbucks
(Here’s my refer a friend link)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Swagbucks, mainly because of their refer a friend scheme but also because of the ways you can earn Swagbucks which can then be converted into vouchers.
The refer a friend scheme will earn you 300 Swagbucks when your referral signs up and earns 300 Swagbucks in their first month and you’ll also earn 10% of their SB earnings for the life of their account which definitely will add up when your friend realises that they can earn plenty on there.
Top Cashback
(Here’s my refer a friend link for Top Cashback)
TopCashback is another one which is a no-brainer for you although there’s nothing in this one for your friend who signs up other than the fact that they’re bound to earn plenty of money through the cashback they’ll get when they shop using TopCashback.
You, however, get anywhere between £7.50 and £20 per friend sign up depending on what offer’s on at the time.
Sky TV
I’m not a Sky TV customer but if you are, you and a friend will both get £100 pre-paid MasterCard if you introduce a friend to them so it’s definitely worth letting your friends know that you can refer them if they’re thinking of signing up.
