While I was ill this weekend (I promise that’s the last time I’ll mention it ;-)), I have a vague recollection of Miss Frugal coming in to my bedroom and telling me that she wanted to wash her bike. She asked if she could use the kettle and I remember grunting my agreement to her plan thinking she would pour a little water on the bike, give it a quick wipe and return the kettle back to it’s rightful place.
How wrong could I be?
Apparently, upon further investigation the bike needed a more thorough clean and not wanting to disturb me – ‘You looked very poorly mammy’, Miss Frugal decided to use a brush (the poor guinea pig’s water bottle cleaner brush) and a kettle filled with water and washing up liquid and scrub the bike clean – she even managed ‘to clean off the dog poo she ran over’.
So what was quite clearly a good result for the bike wasn’t so much for the kettle.
I loved my Kettle, it was teal and matched my toaster and now it’s sat abandoned in the back garden where I discovered it last night with a poo stained brush in it and a cute little fairy sticker on the side!
Note to Self – Do not get ill EVER again.
