Yesterday was an easy day in our Activity Advent but we’re stepping it up a notch today with a cheeky little craft!
It’s a simple craft but a craft never the less!
All you need is a sheet of green card out of as you can see in the first picture above (I use a dinner plate and a side plate to make ours~) and some green paper that you can use to cut the leaves out of. The rest is all optional sparkle!
One you’ve cut out your wreath base, you just need to cut out about a million leaves to stick around the template in a leafy pattern. I can guarantee that the kids will start off very enthusiastic with this one but their initial excitement to be doing a Christmas craft will soon start to fade and it won’t be long before they’ll be begging you to take over with the scissors.
The same thing will happen when it’s time to start sticking the leaves around the base – the first few will look fab and they’ll get gradually messier before they give up completely and hand the glue to you!
They’ll be all over it again when you break out the glitter this time they’ll probably stay interested until not only is the wreath covered in glitter, but your whole house is too!
The end result is gorgeous and looks lovely stuck on a door but before you start, consider if it’s worth the aching fingers you’ll have from cutting out leaves and the fact that you’ll spend the next month finding glitter everywhere.
