I’ll be honest, this weeks Gallery prompt was my worst nightmare initially, until I read Tara’s post about why she had chosen that subject. I hate having my photo taken and I can count on one hand the number of pictures we have of all us together, I’m usually on the other side of the lens, but like Tara says, what if my children look back at the hundreds (probably thousands ;-)) of pictures of their childhood and wonder where I am.
They don’t look at photo’s and say ‘Oooh what a horrible photo of mammy’ they look at the photo and see the person they love, who loves them more than anything in the world…. And that’s what I want.
So thank you Tara, for making me think and making me want to change. Thank you from me and my children.
This is us all at Planet Hollywood in Eurodisney last year. It was one of those perfect holidays where everything goes right and there wasn’t a tantrum or tear in sight so this photo, although we all look exhausted always makes me smile.
This is me on my wedding day, at Gretna Green. I know the dress looks black but it’s actually a nice deep burgandy as we got married in November and I wanted everything to be Burgandy and Cream. I have another photo like this somewhere that I can’t find anywhere but it has a huge rainbow in the background!
So there you go, that’s me. Hi *waves*, nice to meet you.
I’m off now to visit the rest of the entries to this weeks Gallery – I may be a while 😉
EDITED TO ADD: The first photo following my Mid Years Resolution:
See I told you I meant it!
