As much as I love the Summer Holidays, I do love it when September comes around and school starts again.
I feel almost the same way about it as I do the New Year – like it’s a time for starting fresh, making plans and moving forward which I know sounds a bit cheesey but that’s really how it makes me feel so there 😉
Today’s no exception and I’m sat on the settee right now watching the kids read before bedtime feeling quite content with life. They both love their new teachers and have had an ‘awesome’ first day back at school and have been chattering excitedly about random things since they got home. I now know what most of their friends did over the Summer, what their favourite lessons are going to be and what people are putting on their Christmas lists!
They even managed to go to school looking quite smart this morning – a minor miracle considering I was at work and their Dad was in charge of getting them ready and to school in one piece and on time.
Just look at the size of Miss Frugal’s book bag!
I have a plan to spend a few days catching up on things that I neglected over the Summer (housework, emails and blogging in general) and then we’ll get back down to saving money and being sociable again – I *may* even go on Twitter more than once a week!
Ooh and I’ll be posting more regularly on my Christmas blog between now and Christmas but I’ll share more about that with you another day.
