I’m 99% sure that this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this today and it certainly won’t be the last but… How on earth is it June already!
I feel like I blinked and we’re halfway to Christmas almost! ;-0
Before I share June’s goals, I’m going to give you a May goals update which is a bit of a mixed bag if I’m honest and I’m quite disappointed in myself as I didn’t do everything I wanted to do…
I’m most disappointed with the fact I didn’t manage to achieve my weight loss and steps goals because I didn’t even get close! I lost my way a little bit on my weight loss journey and for most of the month, I’ve just not focused on it at all. I ended the month on a high but I still feel like I’ve let myself down – I want to be as healthy as I can and May definitely didn’t take me any closer to that goal at all!
I’m definitely going to be carrying my weight loss goals over to my June goals and I’m also adding in some more ‘me’ related goals and a couple of blogging ones.
Here’s my goals for June…
I think most are pretty self-explanatory and the top half is carried over from my May goals so you definitely don’t need to hear about them again. I’ll explain some of the new ones though…
Blog Smarter / Make a plan for a few projects
A couple of week’s ago, I spent some time with some very inspiring women at the Flea Blogging Retreat and as I did last year, I came away super inspired and filled with ideas. I’d love to have time to actually implement those ideas but with a full-time job and an hours commute each way to work, I just don’t have the time to do everything I want to do and still juggle work, blogging and family life.
The thing is though, I love everything that I do – I love working and even though I’ve considered in the past giving it up to blog full time, I just can’t bring myself to do it. Not only would I be sad to leave, but I also worry that it would make blogging my job and therefore, no longer a fun hobby.
I love blogging and everything that comes along with it so that’s as non-negotiable as my job is and obviously my family is always my number one priority so if I want to do anything else then I need to be smarter. I don’t know how yet though but it’s something I’m going to have a bit of a think on in June to see if there’s a way I can manage the things I have on currently along with a couple of things that are still just little ideas brewing in my head.
Sleep More
I feel like I’m super tired lately which is a combination of me doing quite a lot in May and also a lack of sleep because I’m going to bed late, getting up early and fitting in a LOT every day. I need to switch off more and get more sleep so that’s a definite focus for me for June.
Visit at least two new places with my camera
I know that there is nothing that relaxes me more than walking around with my camera in my hand just snapping anything that catches my eye so this month I’m going to take some time for me to visit some new places with my camera.
Make £200 by selling things we no longer need
May was an expensive month for one reason or another so I want to try and make some extra money in June and one of the ways I’m planning on doing this is to do some selling.
Wish me luck. 😉
And because I’m so nice, here’s a free printable goals tracker for you to use!
As well as (hopefully) ticking off all of my goals for this month, I’d also love to help you achieve your goals for June so to help, I’ve made a little goals tracker that you might find useful…
Either print it off and stick it on your fridge or take a screenshot and use it in your Instagram stories – give me a tag (@frugalfamily) as I’d love to see your goals.
