You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it’s from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online and this is my monthly post to share some of my bargains with you!
I know I say this pretty much every month but I genuinely love buying second hand (here are 8 reasons why I think buying second-hand clothes is the future) because I can get better quality clothes for less money at the same time as doing my bit for the world and for charity. Everybody wins!
I have a couple of lovely little towns near me which are fab for a little wander and also have the loveliest little charity shops that are known to stock really good quality things, probably due to the affluence of the towns themselves. One is even flagged on a particular charity’s website as being a vintage and designer outlet although the really good finds are rare.
Nothing particularly outstanding this month from me (not like last month where I shared my best bargain ever) but I got some good basic wardrobe essentials.
This first top was a bargain at £2 and in my head, I thought it would look amazing despite it being totally see-through as it’s literally just white lace. I do like it and it does fit quite nicely but I just don’t have a top that looks right underneath it.
It’s a shame but I just can’t seem to make it work so this one might be going back in my charity pile to be re-donated when I get a bag full. I could take it back as most charity shops do returns if you keep the reciept but for £2 I think I’ll just hang on to it for a bit to see if I can make it work and if not, I’ll re-donate it.
This next top is definitely more me – it’s a beautiful cream Next Knitwear top with some pretty pearls stitched onto the front of it. It’s in immaculate condition so for the bargain price of £3 I couldn’t buy it quickly enough! I love that it’s just the right length too as I often find knitwear like this is quite short and I prefer a slightly longer fit.
I do feel like it makes me look like a grandma though but I really don’t care as I love it that much. 😂
I bought this next top from the sale section for £1.50 and whilst it’s nothing special, it’s a good basic to have in my wardrobe as it’ll go great with jeans instead of a plain t-shirt. It’s such a lovely colour too!
It’s a Marks and Spencers top which is a couple of sizes too bit but I did that deliberately as it looks like quite a clingy top and I wanted it to be a bit more loose fitting.
OK, you’re going to love these! 😂😂
I bought these leather-look effect leggings which are so not me at all! I thought they’d be nice for going out with a pair of heels and a nice top to try and keep a bit warm if I’m sat outside. I really like them and they fit lovely aside from the fact that they’re a bit on the long side and I’m really not sure how good a job I can do at turning them up myself.
They were £3.50 and I really want to make them work so I’m going to give it a go! Wish me luck…
Hopefully, I’ll be back next month with more pre-loved bargains.
And don’t forget, if you can’t get out to wander around your local charity shops then have a look at my favourite online charity shops!
