You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it’s from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online and this is my monthly post to share some of my bargains with you!
I know I say this pretty much every month but I genuinely love buying second-hand (here are 8 reasons why I think buying second-hand clothes is the future) and this month’s little haul has made me super happy as usual as I got lots of great bargains!
I’m a huge Vinted fan and there’s not a monthly pre-loved post goes by without me sharing at least one Vinted bargain. If you want to find out more about how to find bargains on there yourself then this how to buy on Vinted post is perfect for you!
Also, I know I say this each month but when I buy things anything pre-loved, I try and only use money that I’ve made from things that I’ve sold on Vinted so either things that I’ve bought to sell on or things from my wardrobe that I know I won’t wear again so I rarely pay actual money for anything you see that I’ve bought from there. Here’s a post about how much I made in a weekend selling on Vinted a little while ago to give you an idea!
I also have a one in, one out policy so if I buy something to add to my wardrobe then I sell on Vinted or add something to the pile to donate to the charity shop near where I live.
So let’s get started with the bargains…
First up, a pair of going out shoes that I bought from the Age UK charity shop for £3.09. They look unworn to me and I absolutely love them as I’ve been looking for a pair of flat shoes, not sandals, that I could wear if I was going out and these are pretty much everything I had in mind when I thought of what I wanted.
They’re super comfortable and look dressy enough that I could wear them if I needed to dress up another outfit without being too much if that makes sense.
Next up is a chunky knit cardigan that again was brand new and from the Age UK charity shop in the town near me. I’ve been looking for a cream coloured jumper in this kind of style for a while now as I wanted to wear it tucked into skirts and over some of my dresses and couldn’t believe it when I saw this on the rack for £3.50.
I had actually tried on a very similar top but a jumper rather than a cardigan from Asda the day before but the arms were just too long for me and it drowned me a little bit but this fits really well and with it being a cardigan it can do double duty as a jumper when it’s buttoned up as well as just being thrown on to keep me warm.
This next one is a Vinted bargain which cost £6.50 and is a lovely Pink Clove dress which I should get quite a lot of wear out of. It looks quite low cut in the picture but it’s actually not nearly as low as this makes it look so this is perfect as a work dress with a pair of boots but would also work as a dressier dress.
The sleeves have a really lovely ruching detail that just makes this a really flattering style and I can’t wait to wear it!
I’m loving wearing boots at the moment and these ones from M&S are my new additions of this month, costing me just £4 from Vinted. I bought them as my knee-length boots from M&S are just the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn and I was hoping these would be the same.
They’re not uncomfortable but they’re not as comfy as my other ones which might put me off wearing them too much as I rarely wear anything with a heel. My knee-length ones have a heel but they’re so soft and comfortable that it almost feels like they don’t if that makes sense. I might resell these ones but I’m going to have a think as I did specifically want some black ankle boots.
The skirt in the collage below is absolutely beautiful and cost £3.oo from Vinted but it’s an extremely small fit for the size it is. It’s my usual size but it literally doesn’t meet anywhere near where it should to fasten and I’d genuinely say it’s a good two sizes too small for me. I love it so much though that I’m thinking of keeping it and hoping that I’ll fit into it soon as I’m still losing weight – albeit very slowly at the moment.
The t-shirt is an Oliver Bonas top that cost me £1.50 from Vinted which I bought because I have very few t-shirts and I wanted a bit more choice for when I’m lounging around or on my exercise bike wearing gym pants or leggings. The little logo on it says ‘Cultivate Kindness’ and has a little hand holding a bunch of flowers which I love but I’m actually not a fan of the length of this one as it’s a bit too short for me personally. It’s ok for on my bike though so it’s staying for now. 😂
The dress in the middle is one that I ordered for a wedding I have coming up soon but the seller actually sent the wrong dress by mistake so instead of this one from AX Paris which I paid £7 for, I got another one from the same brand that I hadn’t even seen. She offered me the chance to send it back for a refund but I loved the one she sent in error so much that I asked if I could keep that one instead.
I’m not going to lie, it’s a nicer dress that I was sent so she wasn’t overly keen on letting me keep it and was a bit funny with me when I asked but she clearly decided it wasn’t worth the trouble when I said that I’d send it back as soon as she sent me a paid postage label so I wasn’t out of pocket for her mistake and said to just keep what I had.
I’m not sure this picture does it justice but…
I’m really pleased with this month’s new additions to my wardrobe and hopefully, I’ll be back next month with some more pre-loved bargains.
