You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it’s from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online and this is my monthly post to share some of my bargains with you!
I know I say this pretty much every month but I genuinely love buying second-hand (here are 8 reasons why I think buying second-hand clothes is the future) and this month’s little haul has made me super happy as usual as I got lots of great bargains!
My absolute favourite pre-loved buy this month was my new car! Not particularly frugal I know but I got a great deal on a second-hand car that I absolutely love.
I decided it was time to be a grown-up and get rid of my little Fiat 500 but the only way I could do that was to get another car that I loved. My little fiat genuinely made me smile every time I got in it so I needed my new car to do the same and this was the first car that I test drove that made me feel like that so I went for it.
I got a great deal on the car which is immaculate with ridiculously low mileage and to top it all, it’s an automatic which I could not love more. I’ve never been a car person but when I travel 80 miles a day round trip to work then I wanted a car that was comfortable, easy, and made me happy and I’ve absolutely got all that in this little beauty!
Next up, I bought another dress specifically to sell after making an easy £20 on the Jacques Vert dress that I bought last month specifically to sell. This one is a Joanna Hope dress with the tags on and I bought it with selling it in mind but when I got home, I tried it on just to see what it looked like and I loved it!
The cut of it is so flattering but I think it’s made with someone taller in mind as it’s just below my knee which just feels too long. I paid £3.75 for it and have just listed it on Vinted for £15.00 so hopefully, by the time you read this, it will have sold and made me a cheeky profit like the last one.
If you read my weekly five frugal things posts then you might have seen my next bargain as I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to post it. I got these boots for a pound – an actual pound!!!
I absolutely love them and have no idea why they were in the pound section as they’re in almost new condition and look fantastic. I even queried the cost in the shop as it felt like I was practically stealing them. 😂
This next one is on its way to me right now and is genuinely the most ‘Me’ dress I’ve ever seen. I got ridiculously excited when I saw this Lindy Bop dress covered with rainbows, unicorns and little cute quotes. I feel like the top may not be very flattering for people who are larger on top but the fabric and style was too good to pass up so when it arrives (and I’ve given it a good old iron) then I have a friend who would potentially make this into a skirt for me.
And my last three were all bought from Vinted with the money I made from last month’s sales. The pink party dress was potentially for a work’s thing that I have coming up and cost £8, the top in. the middle is so pretty with a knitted top and silky bottom and collar and cost £5 and the shirt dress will be perfect for work with tights and boots and cost £8 which is more than I usually pay for a day time dress on Vinted but I just loved it.
When I buy things off Vinted, I try and only use money that I’ve made from things that I’ve sold so either things that I’ve bought to sell on or things from my wardrobe that I know I won’t wear again so I rarely pay actual money for anything you see that I’ve bought from there.
Hopefully, I’ll be back next month with more pre-loved bargains.
And don’t forget, if you can’t get out to wander around your local charity shops then have a look at my favourite online charity shops! And if you want to learn how to sell on Vinted then I have just the post for you!
