I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it’s from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online so I thought I’d start a bit of a monthly round-up of some of the pre-loved bargains that I buy each month. Here’s this month’s little round-up.
Ok, this is a controversial one!
The first thing I bought this month arrived just after last month’s post so it just missed being included in the September pre-loved bargains round-up – it’s a beautiful Burberry scarf!
This is something I’ve wanted to buy for myself for years but have never been able to stomach the price tag that comes with it – upwards of £275 for a scarf is silly money so as much as I wanted one, it was clearly never going to happen.
Then last month, I sold one of my handbags on Vestaire Collective which is a site where you can buy and sell designer goods so I thought I’d have a cheeky look to see if I could see any second-hand scarves that I liked. I found a lovely vintage version for a fraction of the price of the newer ones in what was classed as ‘very good condition’ so I made a cheeky offer and now I have my Burberry scarf.
I know it’s not a particularly thrifty purchase but it was my treat to myself after working a LOT of overtime over the last six months – I was sensible with most of it but this was my splurge.
Next up is an absolute bargain – a Zara Winter coat which I got for the bargain price of 99p. Yes, I said 99p. 😂
It’s in pretty average condition so whilst you wouldn’t look at it and think it was brand new, it still looks great and there’s loads of wear left in it. The price tag shows it was reduced from £11.99 to £6.99 to £2.99 and then to 99p which is a huge bargain if you ask me.
It’s super thick and warm so my plan was to leave it in my car boot as a spare because I can’t tell you the number of times that I pop out with just a cardi on and then wish I had my coat.
This next thing is potentially going to be my most worn jumper over the next few months as it’s so soft and comfortable! It’s an M&S knitted jumper and I paid £3.99 for it which I think is a huge bargain!
This next purchase is one that I’m regretting a little bit although to be fair, it only cost £1.24 so it’s not a disaster if I decide to re-donate it back to the charity shop I bought it from. It’s just a basic dress with some lace detailing on the shoulders and at the back which I wanted to wear with some tights and boots but the lace is quite itchy and the fit isn’t particularly flattering so I don’t think it’s for me.
And I saved the best bargain for last today!
I found the prettiest pink Accessorize bag in immaculate condition inside and out for £2.45 which I was super pleased with as it’s perfect to use as a laptop bag for work as well as a great little travel bag because of its size.
I’ve been using it since I bought it and can’t believe how pretty it is!
Hopefully, I’ll be back next month with more pre-loved bargains. 🤞
