As part of my home makeover resolution for this year, I’ve decided to make a photo wall with all my favourite photo’s, so I spent most of last night scouring ebay for photo frames and I’m going on a charity shop hunt for some more tomorrow. I want all the photo frames to be white and pretty rather than just the usual plain frames you get so I’m really pleased with the ones I’ve got so far:
I know you might think that £30.00 for the frames isn’t really a bargain but the wall is going to be a big feature and although I can add to it with other bargains that I pick up, I wanted to get it off to the right start by choosing the main frames in the style I love. I’m hoping to add to these frames with my charity shop spree tomorrow and then I’m going to mark out a space on my floor the same size as the wall so that I can organise them how I want them before going at my wall with the hammer and nails 😉 I can’t decide whether to go for black and white pictures in the frames, colour pictures or a mixture of the two but I’ll hopefully be sharing a picture of the finished photo wall next week….
I bought this lovely crystal glass bowl at the boot sale yesterday, apparently it’s crystal becase if you flick it with your fingernail it makes a certain noise. I have no idea what the fella was going on about but it looks pretty so I’m happy with it.
I bought these tulips in Morrisons at the end of the day for about 30p but as I don’t really have any nice vases I had a wander down the housey aisle and found this lovely glass jug for just 99p. The flowers look great in it and I think it would make a fab Sangria jug (once I learn how to make it).
Now I’m going to pop over to Magpie Monday and read all about everyone else’s bargain finds. Don’t forget to link up if you’ve bought anything you want to share this week – I love reading about other people’s bargains almost as much as I love finding them myself….
