This Week’s Meal Plan

Shopping is an absolute trauma with two children – I have completely overspent on this week’s budget because I couldn’t concentrate on sticking to my list (that’s my excuse anyway).

So, are you ready for this week’s exciting meal plan….

Saturday

Lunch – American Style Pancakes and Bacon Sandwiches

Tea – Home made takeaway style tea

Sunday

Lunch – Scrambled egg on toast
Tea – Home made minced beef and onion pie with yorkshire puddings and mini roasties.

Monday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Turkey Dinosaurs, chips and beans (I’m at work till late so it’s a Mr Frugal tea)
Home made pizza for us after I get in from work.

Tuesday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Meatballs and spaghetti (home made by Miss Frugal – her idea)

Wednesday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Home made quesadillas (not sure yet whether to use the kit or try and go it alone!)

Thursday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Risotto for the grown up’s, mini shepherds pies and yorkshire puddings for the kids (from the freezer)

Friday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Barbecue chicken and wedges

Sounds yummy to me. LOL I love that you say tea...would that be the same as dinner to us americans?

I know what you mean about shopping with 2 kids being traumatic! I overspend each week, and don't know how! I have stopped 'popping' to the supermarket during the week though, the only things I allow us to buy during the week now are bread and milk, so must be saving something.

We say tea as well, I always believed this was a northern thing, as now I live down sarffff, they all refer to tea as dinner and dinner as lunch

As SuperLittleMen says, where I live tea is what we eat in the evening, but other people call it dinner - Just to confuse you lol!

SuperLittleMen, I've managed to cut out the mid week 'topups' and that in itslef saves a fortune - good job after my overspend yesterday though!

Wow, looks delicious. Following from mbc. I completely understand. We went to do groceries yesterday and yikes!! Just out of curiosity, do you have a really good recipe you use for Yorkshire pudding? My husband loves them but the recipe I have isn't the best.
