This week I’ve been testing out a new meal planning tool which lets you put input one or more ingredients into it and then gives you a selection of recipes that you can choose from to use up your ingredients. I’m hoping it’s going to help me empty my freezer of the random leftovers and bits and bobs that I’ve bought from the reduced section lately.
I do like the meal planner as it gives inspiration on what you can cook using what you already have in. A lot of the recipes are using US based ingredients though and some of them involve some ingredients that I would never usually have in. But, I’ll use it again in future because it gives me ideas for new things – even if I have to adapt some of the recipes!
Monday – Chicken and egg fried rice.
Tuesday – Cottage pie.
Wednesday – Spaghetti frittata.
Thursday – Tuna macaroni cheese.
Friday – I’m going away with Miss Frugal so we’ll be eating out tonight – somewhere cheap though!
Saturday – Today is the day I’ll be watching One Direction with Miss Frugal so we’ll be eating out.
Sunday – It’s my birthday today and we’ll be travelling home from our weekend away so again, we’ll probably be eating out as we won’t be back until late!
Disclosure – I received vouchers for testing out the meal planning tool.
