It’s no secret that I’m a fan of meal planning – I even have a blog dedicated to all things meal planning related!
I used to write my meal plans down in a notebook but I found it’s actually easier to stick to if I have the week’s meal plan on display where everyone can see it so today, I thought I’d share with you my favourite ways to display our weekly meal plan.
I have a menu planner that I have up on my wall in the kitchen that we made a few years ago but it’s looking a bit past it’s best now so I may remake it using a different background paper – any wrapping paper is great for this or shops like Paperchase have some beautiful papers that are great for backgrounds for this:
Then I discovered a meal planning pad that was in the 3 for 2 stationery offer at our local Wilko (or is it Wilkinsons still?) and I treated myself to it as the ‘free’ thing. It’s got a magnetic back so it’s on the front of my fridge and so far, I’m finding it really handy. We’re also using it to write down Mr Frugal’s shifts at work and anything else important that I need to remember!
But you don’t have to buy a meal planning pad or make a menu planner to have a fancy pants meal planner on your wall because there are so many fab ones available on line for free. Here’s my favourites:
Tip Junkie has some great free downloadable meal planners like the one above.
This one above from The Project Girl is a fab one to use if you plan breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.
Or you could try this one above, again by The project Girl, which is a great one if you only plan your tea each day.
This one above from Future Girl is one of my all time favourite menu planners because it’s so visual and different to most of the free templates that I’ve come across over the years.
Another all time favourite of mine is this one above from Tip Junkie, I love the style of it and it looks great on the fridge door.
And if you still need some inspiration, you can check out my meal planning templates Pinterest board which is filled with lots of free templates and ideas to help you display your weekly meal plan:
