As you may already know, I’m a bit of a stationery-holic and I love anything stationery related! Miss Frugal is following in my footsteps and has *almost* as much stationery as I have – she even has a drawer just for her notepads!
Earlier this week when we opened an envelope filled with post-it pads, I’m actually not sure who squealed the loudest although Mr Frugal assures me that it was definitely me!
The reason we received such an exciting (to us) delivery is because I’ve been asked to take part in a bit of a challenge to explore what the written word can mean to people. In these days of email and text communications, getting a written note of any kind is rare but when you do get one, they have more meaning in my opinion. With so many different colours and shapes, the Post-it® Brand from 3M is perfect for adding personality, emotion and individuality to your handwritten notes, hence the delivery.
I must admit that I’ve had a bit of a busy week so I popped the post-it pads into the drawer until I had time to think about what notes I was going to write but then on Sunday morning, I came downstairs to find these notes on the front of my fridge:
It appears that someone couldn’t wait to open the post-it pads and decided to use them to wish me a Happy Mothers Day. They’re lovely and they touched me much more than a shop bought card would have done!
We use Post-its all the time in our house – remember our blessings post-it wall just after Christmas?
Now it’s my turn to show you a note that I’ve written this week for someone. I considered showing you the list of jobs I wrote Mr Frugal when he was off one day, or the note I left for my friend asking her to do me a favour but I decided to show you this one. This is the note I wrote Miss Frugal and left it on her laptop when she took a break from playing on Minecraft.
I’m pleased to tell you that she did actually take me up on my offer and we had a lovely snuggle watching a film – much more fun than Minecraft!
Now, watch this space because my note is going to be analysed by a handwriting expert. I’ll let you know what it says about me….
Disclosure – I will receive payment for this post 😉
