Last week my lovely bloggy friends Becky and Penny released the most amazing book!
The book is called ‘Create Your Own Happy‘ and is aimed at children aged between 7 and 11 although if you’re anything like me, you’ll enjoy it as much as the kids will.
The book is laid out in three sections – the first one is all about how to make yourself happy, the second section is about making other people happy which in turn makes you happy and the final section is about making the world a happier place which again, is going to help make you happy.
The ability to take control of your own happiness and to understand the importance of self-care from such an early age is so important and to be able to not only proactively recognise when you’re not feeling as happy as you could but to do something about is something all children should be taught.
This book teaches that to our children in such a fun and engaging way that they’re going to learn without even realising that they’re learning lessons that are going to help them for the rest of their lives. The activities are so much fun too – there’s everything from making a happy jar to creating a laughter kit and from being more mindful to my personal favourite – becoming a worry ninja.
I love the layout of the book, it’s beautifully illustrated and each idea is explained really clearly with a little explanation as to the science behind the idea. I think that’s my favourite bit about the book actually, the fact that everything is explained so clearly.
You can have a sneak peek at some of the pages inside the book here and while you’re there check out some of the fab reviews! it really is exactly what you need if you want to help kids be happy.
I loved it that much that I bought a second copy just to give away to one of you guys so if you want to win a copy of this amazing book, just leave a comment below this post telling me what you do to create your own happy?
There’s a couple of extra ways to earn bonus entries but the only one that’s mandatory is the blog comment!
And if you don’t want to wait, you can order the book on Amazon right now! I
